This community garden in the south end of Boston is a long narrow patchwork of tangled plots shaped by the physical labor and ideology of its keepers.  The winter lays bare the garden's backbone - the structures, the debris, as well as the faith of its community in the renewal of the growing cycle.  My tintype images explore the community garden as a space negotiated between outside and inside, chaos and order, environmental impulses and cultural desires of its urban subjects.
